Les Abernathy

Les is an author from Montgomery. His current book entitled “The Varient War” is a time travelling, sci-fi thriller.

Jennifer Alexander

Jennifer is the artist behind Hello Cute Illustrations. She works in colored pencil and watercolor. She has both an interior series and wildlife and nature series in her current collection.

Karla Amos

Karla is a children’s book author from the Montgomery, AL area. Her background is in education where she has served as an elementary school teacher, swim coach, homeschool mom, and Sunday school teacher.

Gail Anderson

Gail makes handmade notecards and paper art pieces. Her cards often incorporate buttons and other 3D elements.

Alessa Ash

Alessa is the designer behind AMaDe jewelry. She makes handcrafted jewelry using various mixed mediums from charms, stones, written words, metal, glass, and more. Her collection includes earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.

Maria Auad

Maria is the creative force behind Color Terra. She creates whimsical ceramic jewelry and functional pottery.

Marian Baker

Marian is a painter and mixed media artist from Oneonta, AL. Her collection includes paintings in a contemporary folk art style.

Pam Barrett

Pam is a fiber and visual artist from Dothan, AL. Her collection includes functional fiber pieces and watercolor paintings.

Lynne Berry

Lynne is a stained glass artist. Her work is both whimsical and functional. Her current collection is nature inspired and includes garden stakes, hanging test tube planters, geometric window pieces, and floral window pieces.

Robin Birdwell

Robin is a graphic designer, bookmaker, painter, and calligrapher. Her collection includes hand-lettered art, journals, and designer stickers.

William Bond

William creates abstract paintings using bright colors in watercolor and acrylic.

Madeline Burkhardt

Madeline is a travel photographer who creates notecards, prints, and ornaments using her own photography from her travels around the world. She also has a great collection of Montgomery-centric prints.

Vincent Buwalda

Vincent is a sculptor working primarily with metal and found objects. His works can be seen around Montgomery, including the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. His collection at SAMC includes smaller sculptures AND the incredible installation piece located in front of our shop that has quickly become a Madison Ave landmark!

Jessica Carroll

Jessica is one of our card makers. Her collection includes a variety of handcrafted cards for all occasions.

Warren Christopher

Warren is a painter who specializes in acrylics oils and pen & ink. His subject matter is varied and consists of figures, still life’s, botanicals and landscapes. His current collection features still life’s and figures.

Cindy Clark

Cindy is an oil painter who specializes in florals, landscapes and pet portraits.

Lori Conway

Lori is the artist behind Conway Market. She is a jewelry designer and painter. Her collection includes Montgomery themed magnets, notecards, stickers and ornaments.

Sara Crocker

Sara works in ceramics and stained glass. Her work is inspired by travel, her Louisiana roots and nature. Her current collection includes functional pottery pieces as well as decorative stained glass spinners.

Bob Corley

Bob is a local author and songwriter. His book entitled “Confessions of an Ignorant Traveler” comes with its own cd soundtrack of original songs.

Cotton & Pine Creative

Cotton & Pine is a local design studio, letterpress, and print shop that specializes in Letterpress, Foil, Embossing, Flat Print, Hand Deckling and Edge Painting. Their collection includes journals, prints, notecards, and coasters.

Syanne Culver

Syanne is a painter from Millbrook. Her current collection includes acrylic abstracted landscapes and figures.

Foster Dickson

Foster is a local author. His work has centered mainly on the American South, multiculturalism, education and social justice. His collection includes I Just Make People Up: Ramblings with Clark Walker and Closed Ranks: The Whitehurst Case in Post-Civil Rights Montgomery.

Dorcas Society, St Bede’s Church

Dorcas Society is a non-profit organization that creates quilted potholders, trivets, lap robes, throws, crocheted dishcloths, hats, scarves, gloves and pillows. The proceeds from their sales are used to purchase buckwheat husks which are used to make neck pillows for cancer patients.

Tom Ensey

Tom is a self taught folk art painter. His collection includes whimsical pen and ink drawings and hand painted tiles.

Nancy Gager

Nancy is an artist. Her current collection features her floral inspired coloring book.

Allison Gordon

Allison is the artist behind Font & Flora. Combing her love for her faith journey, nature and art, Allison’s collection consists of heavy texture acrylic floral paintings. Allison process includes using heavy texture acrylic paints, piping bags and palette knives. With these tools she is able to create sculptural paintings that jump off the substrate because the paint retains its body and thickness even after it dries.

Aleah Goode

Aleah is one of our shop owners. She is also the artist behind Aleah Mignon Art. She creates jewelry using vintage silverware and old belts. Her jewelry collection includes necklaces, rings, earrings, leather cuff bracelets, keychains, and bookmarks. In addition to her jewelry design, Aleah also paints and writes children’s books.

Tim & Rhonda Goode

Tim and Rhonda are a husband/wife team of photographers. Their work ranges from unique macro images to wide-angle landscapes. They specialize in nature, travel, and street photography.

Garland Farwell

Garland is a folk artist specializing in work that uses recycled, reclaimed and restored materials. His current collection features wooden, hand painted quilt squares, geometric signs and a variety of wooden pieces.

Mike Handley

Mike is a painter from the Montgomery area. He works primarily in acrylic, and his card collection includes portraits, wildlife, landscape, and still life.

Shelly Harman

Shelly is a painter specializing in contemporary pop art. Her collection includes portraits and landscapes.

Emmi Harrell

Emmi is a painter, illustrator and card maker from Montgomery. Her collection includes greeting cards with a twist.

Winfred Hawkins

Winfred is a painter, illustrator, and graphic designer. His collection includes watercolor paintings and ink drawings featuring bears, animals, and other characters of his imagination.

Lindsey Heidel

Lindsey is a ceramic artist specializing in both functional and decorative pieces. Her collection includes grater plates, mugs and candle sticks.

Jeremy Henderson

Jeremy is the blacksmith and wood worker behind Henderson Forge- Iron and Wood Crafts. His collection includes hand forged metal decor and functional pieces, wooden wine stoppers and bottle openers, and metal and wood combined bird houses.

Robert Highland aka Mr. Willi

Mr Willi is a found object artist. His work features reclaimed architectural elements and found objects. His collection includes birdhouses, crosses, and signs.

Barbara Hill

Barbara is an author from the Montgomery, AL area. Her works include two fiction novels in the Historical Christian Fiction genre.

April Howton

April is the artist behind Seven Wood Designs and is a founder and co-owner of Studio 23 in Florence, AL. Her collection includes wooden magnets, ornaments, cutting boards and other handmade wooden treasures.

Robert Jameson

Robert is a painter from Greenville, SC. He works in acrylic, watercolor and pen & ink. His current collection includes abstracted, linear pieces.

Melissa Johnson

Melissa is the creative force behind Fruit & Flora. She is a jewelry artist and her current collection includes resin pressed flower jewlery, hair clips and key chains.

Anita Joshi

Anita is the maker behind Five Chai Tea. Anita wanted to share her family’s time-honored chai recipe as an authentic, sustainably-sourced blend for all to enjoy. Nothing artificial; just pure, delicious chai. Her journey to find the perfect blend of spices and ethically sourced tea was not an easy or quick one. Yet, the outcome of the many years it took to create her chai and darjeeling teas is pure bliss.

Felicia Kahn

Originally from New Orleans, Felicia has come to Montgomery by way of Atlanta. She started working in clay as a three-dimensional outlet, because, by day, she works as a graphic designer, and she says she needed more dimension in her life. Her collection consists of clay heart forms that “feel right in my hands.” She loves producing various textures, colors and forms that make her happy.

Cailin Kelley

Cailin creates letters, hearts, and states from old books. She also creates folded book art, license plate trays and boxes, keychains, and letter photography.

Jarred Kelley

Jarred is a fine art artist and works in a variety of media. His current collection includes birds, figures and still life.

Carole King & Karren Pell

Carole and Karren are a local writing team with delightful books that tell the history of Montgomery and some of its beloved neighborhoods.

Jennifer Kornegay

Jennifer is the author behind Bluebird Press and the wonderful tale of Walter & Wimbly.

Emily Kuras

Emily is a veterinarian student at Auburn University. She has merged her love for animals with her love of sewing and has created vivid fabric pet accessories. Her collection includes bow ties and bandannas.

Linda Lee

Linda is a fine art painter and photographer. Her collection includes landscapes, florals and other still life, as well as portraits.

Mary Ann Lehmann

Mary Ann is a potter. Her collection includes both decorative and functional pieces.

Greg Lein

Greg is our resident beekeeper. His raw honey is made by bees in the Cloverdale area of Montgomery, AL

Lorelei Lein

Lorelei is a jewelry artist. She specializes in using semi-precious gems and fresh water pearls. Her collection includes bracelets, earrings and necklaces.

Rik Long

Rik is a folk artist from Andalusia, AL. His paintings include bright, vibrant colors and fun themes and shapes.

Julianna Mann

Julianna is a fiber artist from Luverne, Alabama. Her current collection includes hand dyed yarn skeins, handmade paper beads, handwoven scarves, hand embroidered cuffs and more.

Laura McCollough

Laura is a potter from the Montgomery area who now lives in Alaska. Her pottery collection includes bud vases, clay ornaments, mugs, bowls, and other vessels.

Bob McGough

Bob is the “Bob” in “Tales by Bob.” Bob’s gift for spinning a tale is truly phenomenal. His urban fantasy series, The Jubal County Saga, chronicles the not-so glamorous life of Howard Marsh, a methmagician. Readers are sure to find themselves deeply invested in Howard’s story despite the shenanigans his less than optimal life choices continually find him in.

Judy Meyer

Judy is an artist that creates alcohol ink paintings. Her collection includes landscapes, flora & fauna, and custom pet portraits.

Dot Moseley

Dot is a jewelry designer from the Montgomery area. She creates jewelry using natural stone beading. Her collection includes necklaces, earrings, and bracelets.

Leigh Anna Newell

Leigh Anna is the artist behind Nell & Grey. Her tiny watercolor landscapes and seascapes are filled with incredible detail and truly are a wonder to behold.

My Path Has Purpose

My Path Has Purpose is an organization from the Montgomery area that helps people discover their purpose, teaching them to embrace their identity and realize they can rise above their circumstances. They speak at various events, teach classes, and create art and tshirts that include this message. Their collection includes mixed media art on canvas and wood, notecards, and tshirts.

Alex Pacheco-West

Alex is a ceramicist from Montgomery. Her work of small ceramic sculptures encourages imagination and delight. Alex’s current collection is filled with flora and fauna.

Jessica Parker

Jessica is the creative force behind Petitesserie. Her miniature clay food and botanical art have the ability to delight and illicit instant awe and joy. Her current collection includes earrings and keychains.

Nancy Parker

Nancy is a painter who specializes in dot Mandalas. Her colocation includes book marks, keychains, magnets, decorative stones, jewelry and works on wood.

Heather Parrish

Heather is one of our shop owners. She is a painter that specializes in mixed media and collage. She loves to use bright and vivid colors in whimsical ways. Her collection includes a variety of abstracted works, and florals. She works in both small scale and large scale work ranging from small 2-3 inch pieces to large 5’x4’ canvas.

Sue Peri

Sue is an oil painter from Montgomery. She creates casual posed oil paintings inspired by nature, people and religious figures. Her current collection includes holiday scenes, religious figures, animals and nature themed pieces.

Frank Randall

Frank Randall is a retired physician from Montgomery and has been making and painting pottery for the last 15 years. His works are expressive, whimsical, and just plain wonderful. He often creates pieces depicting wildlife and cityscapes. His current collection consists of wall plaques, bowls, vases, and vessels.

Brandon Rawlinson

Brandon is a mixed media artist using bright colors, clay, wood, lighting, movement - just to name a few. His collection includes sculpture, clay figures, masks, shadow boxes, paintings, and prints.

Mariah Reilly

Mariah is the maker behind Lil Lit Chic. She creates hand-crafted dolls inspired by writers and well-known literary characters. Her collection includes handmade dolls, bookmarks, and hand-printed tshirts.

Donna Richardson

Donna is a painter specializing in acrylics. Her work focuses on texture and her current collection is filled with animals, landscapes and still lives.

Ciera Rogers

Ciera is a photographer and digital artist. Her work includes still life photography, urban scenes, sea scapes and landscapes.

Tom Spencer

Tom is one of our Montgomery-area authors. He is the author behind Riley Ace of Spies and Samson’s Claws. He also creates pop-art inspired postcards using his own photography from around the Montgomery area.

Janie Steindorff-Gray

Janie is a children’s book author. Her current work is a story of the rich history and sites of the capitol city and her hometown, Montgomery, AL. In addition to being a writer, Janie is also an elementary school teacher.

Lyra Stephens

Lyra is the artist behind Illumination Creations. She is from Montgomery but currently is living and working in New Orleans. Her current collection features anthropomorphic watercolor cats.

Myra Stephenson

Myra is a vaguely macabre artist. She works in acrylic ink. Her current collection includes victorian floriography inspired portraits, florals and nature themed works.

Beth Roper Stewart

Beth is a local children’s book author from the Montgomery area. Her collection includes 3 children’s books, “One Thing Missing,” ““I’m Not Weird, I’m Wonderful,” and “Bebeaux and Pierre”.

Sydney Stewart

Sydney is an artist from the Montgomery area. Her collection includes watercolor prints, paintings, and postcards.

LiPhus Swindall

LiPhus is a mixed media artist from Troy, Alabama. His collection includes landscapes, still life’s and abstracts. He has works on canvas , fine art prints and cards.

Jennifer Talley

Jennifer is a fine art painter working in acrylics. Her collection includes figures, animals, and abstracts.

Renee Taylor

Renee is a photographer. Her card collection focuses on rural southern communities and the nature that surrounds them.

Travis Taylor

Travis is a painter, graphic designer, and all around Renaissance man. He is a member of the SAMC crew, and the hands behind many of the construction, lighting, electrical, and displays around the shop. His art collection includes digital/photographic art and paintings in oil and encaustic.

Nizhoni Thompson

Nizhoni is a wood-burning artist. Her intricate designs contain incredible detail hand-drawn and burned on wood.

Darla Tiesling

Darla is a potter that specializes in bells and windchimes. Her collection also includes birdhouses and tableware (including plates, cups, and bowls).

Jacqueline Allen Trimble

Jacqueline is one of our local authors. She has written several books of poetry.

Matt Valverde

Matt Valverde works in watercolor and pen and ink. His current collection includes pieces inspired by Wes Anderson, Greek sculpture and classic transportation. This collection consists of original works, postcards, prints and stickers.

Jonathan Vega

Jonathan is a digital artist. His works includes postcards.

Kaitlyn Wearden

Kaitlyn is a graphic designer, painter, illustrator, and photographer. Her collection includes small painted wood ornaments and art prints made from her digital drawings and hand lettering.

Melody White

Melody was one of our shop owners and the sister of Heather. She was our resident candle-maker and the reason why our shop always smells so good! Her small batch, hand-poured candles were made right in our shop. In addition to candles, Melody was also a jewelry designer. She created intricate pieces using hand-hammered and hand-shaped copper. Her jewelry collection includes necklaces, earrings, bracelets, and rings. Sadly, Melody passed away in 2023 but we are still carrying some of her hand made goods.

Beth Wicker

Beth is the artisan behind Three Cats and A Dog Design Studio. She is a jewelry artist and photographer. As a jeweler she works primarily in metals and gemstones. Her current jewelry collection includes earrings, necklaces and bracelets.
